Kumon of Roslyn Acts as Local Resident’s Next Educational Venture

January 15, 2021 // Franchising.com // ROSLYN, N.Y. - Jean Feng has devoted her decades-long career to education as a teacher, and later as a school counselor for the NYC Department of Education.

Today, as the new owner and Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Roslyn, Feng will continue to educate New York youth in this new chapter of her career.

“I knew Kumon was the perfect next step for me as an educator after I learned how well it aligned with my own beliefs and philosophy about creating self-learners,” said Jean Feng, owner and Instructor of Kumon of Roslyn. “The well-designed, step-bystep format of the program is the perfect tool to assist in instilling advanced study habits and mastery of materials in all of my students.”

Kumon is a supplemental education program that aims to unlock students’ full potential by increasing academic independence, confidence, and study skills. Through daily worksheet study, students enrolled in Kumon often end up mastering material far beyond grade level.

“I hope that all of my students walk in my doors knowing the sky is the limit for their academic potential,” said Feng. “Through persistence, focus, and perseverance, I am excited to help more students achieve their goals both in and out of the Kumon classroom.”
