DQ Grill & Chill® Opens in Orlando
Local Entrepreneur Brings World-Leading QSR Concept to Vista Lakes
January 28, 2021 // Franchising.com // ORLANDO, Fla. - DQ® fans, rejoice. Orlando just got a whole lot sweeter.
American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) recently announced plans to bring a DQ Grill & Chill® to the Vista Lakes area of Orlando. Set to open Sunday, January 31, the restaurant will be located at 8650 Lee Vista Blvd.
A welcoming environment for all, the forthcoming DQ Grill & Chill® location features a modern look and feel, comfortable booths, large wooden tables, warm lighting and upbeat music. The location will be owned and operated by local business owner, Akshay Patel.
“For me, the Dairy Queen® brand evokes a comforting sense of pure joy and togetherness,” said Patel. “With a long-standing tradition of serving up smiles and fan-favorite meals for all ages, I’m excited to expand my community footprint by bringing a DQ Grill & Chill® restaurant to Vista Lakes. We are looking forward to serving our neighbors these classic sweet treats and meals very soon.”
Patel has been eager to become involved in the restaurant industry after owning a local convenience store for 10+ years. With his previous management and strong customer service experience, Patel is ready to hit the ground running by becoming a new DQ® franchisee.
The DQ Grill & Chill® flagship concept modernizes guests’ dining experience. In addition to soft-serve favorites, DQ® fans can also enjoy made-to-order lunch and dinner options including GrillBurgers™, Chicken Strip Baskets and delicious hot sandwiches.
