Bio-Pharmaceutical Experts Transition into HomeCare

February 27, 2023 // // Gilbert, Ariz. - SYNERGY HomeCare has a new location, SYNERGY HomeCare of North Raleigh.

Headquartered at 140 Wind Chime Court, Suite B in Raleigh, the company will serve residents of the greater Raleigh area, including the neighboring cities of Wake Forest and Rolesville. SYNERGY HomeCare of North Raleigh provides clients with a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care to specialized care for people with chronic health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.

The Alstons saw a growing need in their community for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over the age of 65. A recent AARP survey found that 75% of those 65+ report they want to remain in their current residence for as long as possible.

Both Saveon and Crystal have over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, where they both worked in vaccine manufacturing, which is also how the pair met. Over the course of 14 years, Crystal developed a specialization in manufacturing vaccines for children, while she worked with a quality assurance organization as a manager and leader of employee business resource groups. Saveon is also experienced in the pharmaceutical industry and is currently works in Biologics where he helps to develop implantable bioengineered human tissues.

The Alstons knew they could achieve more by venturing into business ownership. Growing up, Saveon became familiar with the homecare industry from his family-owned assisted living facility, where he himself spent time assisting the older adults who resided there. These interactions resonated with Saveon throughout his adult life, which is what eventually led him to introduce the idea to his wife, Crystal. Together, the pair hope to put their professional knowledge and emotional intelligence to use by opening their doors to the community.

SYNERGY HomeCare of North Raleigh focuses on multiple types of in-home care. In addition to providing older people with assistance in maintaining their independence, the Alstons also want to provide childcare, backup care and assistance to expecting families.

According to Saveon, the majority of their clients lack a local support system and need to rely on caregivers for assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care such as help bathing, dressing or using the toilet.

“Distance should not keep adult children from being in tune with their aging loved ones to help them maintain their quality of life while aging in place, something that can be accomplished through local in-home care,” Crystal explained.

SYNERGY HomeCare of North Raleigh offers hourly rates in addition to flexible shifts perfect for both college students or recent graduates as well as people who are retired and looking to stay active.
