5th annual awards honor pet care franchise in the ‘Most Innovative Use of Data’ category

July 10, 2023 // Franchising.com // WESTMINSTER, Colo. - Franchise Update Media recognized Camp Bow Wow® for the Most Innovative Use of Data at its 5th annual Franchise Innovation Awards, presented at the Franchise Customer Experience Conference, held June 20-22 in Atlanta.

The goal of the awards is to identify and recognize the franchisors creating and implementing the most original and successful innovative strategies and tactics to build their brand. Camp Bow Wow was recognized for the Most Innovative Use of Data Award based on its submission for the creation of a new metric, operating profit margin, to track profitability at locations as well as launching reporting for the franchise system on this new metric. To prioritize individual franchise profitability, the brand identified five uniform KPIs essential for driving increased profitability. These KPIs served as the basis for the operating profit margin report, which allows franchise owners and the corporate support team to concentrate on the key drivers directly affecting bottom line profitability. Furthermore, this report facilitates benchmarking of performance within the system, considering various factors such as location and size, to improve the overall system analysis.

A jury of judges evaluated the innovation, objectives and results of more than 150 entrants. Franchise innovators, game-changers and disruptors competed in four categories: Marketing & Branding, Products & Services, Operations and Human Resources. In total, 22 winners were chosen from among the four categories and each winner will be profiled in Franchise Update magazine.
