Mathnasium Franchisee Recognized as a 2023 Franchise Rock Star

August 01, 2023 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES, CA - Mathnasium Learning Centers announces franchisee Karen Lossing and her family have been identified by Franchise Business Review as being a Family-Owned Franchise Rock Star for 2023. This year’s Franchise Rock Stars were selected from franchisees, representing brands that participated in Franchise Business Review’s research.

Lossing opened her first Mathnasium franchise in 2013. With the help and support of her husband and two children, they’ve now grown their empire into a 14-territory, family-owned business.

“We are thrilled as not only a team but as a family to receive this award on behalf of Mathnasium,” said Lossing. “This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire operation and those who help run it every day. We have never been prouder of the work we have done and will continue to do for students in the communities we serve.”

To manage all 14 territories, each of the Lossings have a specific role. Karen handles the education and curriculum components. Her husband, Steve, manages the finances and expansion plans, daughter Libby is the marketing specialist, and son Evan oversees human resources.

The Franchise Rock Stars were nominated by their franchise brand’s leadership in one of eight categories as franchisees who set admirable examples when it comes to leadership, business acumen, financial and professional success, and contributing to their community. Categories included: Giving Back, Women, Millennials, Veterans, Family-Owned, “Freshmen”, Top-Performers and Multi-Unit Owners.
