Spearheaded by the passionate and dynamic Miranda Duca, this women-owned enterprise is dedicated to enriching the lives of children through sports.

Miranda Duca, a native of Cape May County, boasts an impressive athletic background, from being a celebrated three-sport athlete in high school to leading a triumphant tennis career at Bloomsburg University. Her journey in athletics has been intertwined with her academic pursuit, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Beyond her own sporting endeavors, Miranda has been a beacon for young athletes, coaching across various age groups and instilling in them the importance of sports.

"Sports have been a pivotal part of my life and development. They teach essential life skills that go beyond the playing field," Miranda shared. "With Cape Atlantic Skyhawks, our mission is to foster these values in our young ones, especially during these challenging times when resources are scarce."

Duca points out that COVID-19 has taken a toll on our communities, especially on physical education resources for children. Amidst reduced state funding and a growing need for quality sports programs, Cape Atlantic Skyhawks aims to bridge the gap. The academy will provide children from 2 to 14 years old in Cape May and Atlantic counties with a platform to not only play but also to learn and grow with a menu of more than 10 year-round sports offered.

Starting this month, the academy will offer multiple sports classes, camps, and events, all designed around the proven Skyhawks and SuperTots methodologies. These curricula focus on breaking down sports into skills, allowing kids to master each aspect, followed by engaging scrimmages, all while having fun.

Off the field, Miranda is a doting mother to her two children and takes pride in leading by example. Her diverse experiences, from working at professional tennis tournaments to security roles at NCAA basketball games, have helped shaped her beliefs: "Build trust, unlock potential, and create commitment."
