Rock N Roll Sushi Founders Open Concert with Check Presentation to Reach and Teach

November 20, 2023 // Franchising.com // MOBILE, Ala. - Rock N Roll Sushi wrapped up their initial Reach and Teach fundraiser with a check donation for $16,500 on Thursday, at Jackson High School in Jackson, Ala. Rock N Roll Sushi just launched their relationship this fall with the non-profit as a way to support student musicians and entrepreneurs, while staying true to their brand’s culture and love of music.

Rock N Roll Sushi founders Gerri and Lance Hallmark attended the Reach and Teach Concert at Jackson High to present the donation and meet the students who participated in the semester-long Reach and Teach program.

Rock N Roll Sushi is passionate about giving back to students in the communities they touch. Throughout October, “Helping Guitar Picks” were sold at all restaurant locations across the country. All proceeds are being donated to Reach and Teach, to further their goal of providing unique, project based learning opportunities to students. Through the program, students work to promote and execute a concert on their school campus. All proceeds students raise from their concert are donated back to their schools.

Reach and Teach is a nonprofit focused on providing authentic, educational experiences to students across the globe. While the program is available to all students, it resonates with students who typically struggle to engage in traditional classes and provides a purposeful opportunity for students to immerse themselves in their learning.
