The Big Biscuit® Independence and Blue Springs Restaurants Will Open This Weekend

January 12, 2024 // Franchising.com // PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS - The Big Biscuit® announced today that the Independence, Mo., and Blue Springs, Mo., restaurants will open for business this weekend. The Independence location will open at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12. The Blue Springs location will open at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13.

The signature Big Biscuit menu will be served in both restaurants.

The Big Biscuit, headquartered in Prairie Village, Kansas, worked with the Gerson family to purchase the independently owned and operated restaurants after founder Dan Gerson passed away unexpectedly in September 2023. The Gerson family closed the restaurants in November. The Big Biscuit President Chad Offerdahl announced a purchase agreement had been reached earlier this month.
