America’s Best-Tasting Burger Restaurant Signs Agreement to Develop Five Locations in Michigan

January 16, 2024 // Franchising.com // FLINT, Mich. – The best-tasting burger in America is coming to Western Michigan. MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, renowned for its mouthwatering made-to-order burgers, hand-cut french fries and handspun shakes, announced today that local entrepreneur, Walid Bounenni, has signed an agreement to bring the first location in a five-unit development deal to the city of Flint.

The new restaurant, located on the corner of Bristol Rd and Linden Road at 4481 Bristol Road, is planned to open in the spring of 2024 and will be the first location for the brand in the state of Michigan. Additionally, this location will debut MOOYAH’s first non-traditional format of its kind, combining its restaurant with a convenience store and gas station to meet guests’ demand for quick and easy dining options.

“I’ve witnessed the growth of the convenience store and food service industries first-hand as a warehouse supplier, that’s why I’m thrilled to be developing the first MOOYAH in this non-traditional format,” said Walid Bounenni, a seasoned business owner and life-long entrepreneur. “With my background of working with convenience stores and MOOYAH’s best-tasting burgers, I knew that this was the perfect franchise opportunity for me.”

Walid, who initially moved to the U.S. from Tunisia in 1999, has cultivated his entrepreneurial spirit for more than 24 years. Currently, he owns and operates a martial arts school as well as a warehouse that supplies convenience stores and gas stations. Outside of his business ventures, Walid is passionate about giving back to nonprofit organizations that fight hunger in the region.
