Sylvan Learning Grow Multi-Unit Footprint in Canada

February 05, 2024 // Franchising.com // BALTIMORE - Sylvan Learning awarded a new territory in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada to Ken and Naz Coulton. They are the existing owners of Sylvan Learning in Red Deer with a satellite location in Sylvan Lake.

Ken comes from a retail management background in the business and technology space and has a passion for programming. Naz was an educator for more than 20 years. Although Naz started as a tutor with the Red Deer center in 2005, the couple didn’t begin their journey as franchise owners until 2014.

“After the success and community impact we’ve seen through our first center and satellite location, we’re thrilled to expand our reach into Airdrie,” said Ken. “The community is ripe for a supplemental education resource, and we’re firm believers that Sylvan is the ultimate one-stop shop for a wide range of academic needs.”
