Biscuit Belly Announces Expansion into New Markets

Southern style brunch hotspot grows partnership with development group to bring “damn good biscuits” to Northern Virginia and South Carolina

March 13, 2024 // // LOUISVILLE, KY - Biscuit Belly, a Kentucky based “craft casual” brunch restaurant serving up warm hospitality and chef-driven gourmet biscuit breakfast sandwiches, is thrilled to announce the extension of their partnership with current development group DGB Tenn LLC (“DGB”). This growth will focus on bringing new locations to Northern Virginia and South Carolina as Biscuit Belly continues towards their mission of introducing a better brunch experience to new communities.

Following DGB’s successful first year in Chesapeake, VA, and more Biscuit Belly’s soon to open, the group is looking to open at least three additional locations throughout Arlington, Falls Church and Reston, VA as well as expanding further South into Greenville, SC. The group, which is made up of investors and restaurant executives with strong backgrounds in multi-unit development, was eager to be part of Biscuit Belly’s rapid expansion due to their seamless business model, craveable menu and strong fan following.

Having opened their first location in Chesapeake, VA in May of 2023, DGB is close to opening two additional locations in Norfolk, VA and Raleigh, NC in Q1 of 2024 and a 4th location in Summerville, SC in the Fall. With the announcement of their agreement expansion with Biscuit Belly, DGB plans to open an additional two locations throughout Northern Virginia by mid-2025 and eight stores in total by the end of 2025.

Founded by Lauren and Chad Coulter in 2019, and franchising since 2020, Biscuit Belly has become a staple in their home state of Kentucky. Known for their chef-inspired offerings revolving around a scratch-made biscuit, innovative boozy beverages, and a bright, modern environment, Biscuit Belly has been an instant favorite among brunch enthusiasts. In addition to the recent opening in Chesapeake, Biscuit Belly and its current franchisees have restaurants in Louisville and Lexington, KY, Huntsville and Hoover, AL, Evansville, IN, Chesapeake, VA and Acworth, GA and the company is looking for franchise partners to continue expansion into new markets.

Biscuit Belly is actively seeking single and multi-unit franchise partners. The brand currently has ten locations open and will open an additional 6-8 locations in 2024. With 20+ locations in development and plans to sign five additional multi-unit deals by the end of 2024, the brand is quickly getting the attention of seasoned multi-unit restauranteurs.
