Timed to Release of Summer Blizzard Menu and DQ FREEZER, Fans Can Enjoy BOGO Blizzard Treat Offer in DQ Mobile App

March 27, 2024 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS - American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) today announced the first-ever opening of the DQ® FREEZER, keeper of all the iconic BLIZZARD® Treats ever created. While the DQ FREEZER has remained a secret for nearly 40 years, the brand is now giving fans a peek behind its doors with the return of two iconic flavors – and the unprecedented opportunity for future re-releases of more than 170 flavors. The Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard Treat and Brownie Batter Blizzard Treat are coming out of the DQ FREEZER to join this year’s Summer Blizzard Menu.

“For decades, we’ve kept our more than 170 delicious Blizzard Treat flavors sealed in the DQ FREEZER for safekeeping. Thanks to our fans, we are opening the doors for the very first time to bring back the Blizzard Treats they never forgot for a limited time,” said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president, marketing at ADQ. “This summer, we invite all fans to celebrate the return of their all-time favorite flavors while creating new memories with family and friends.”

Because summer doesn’t officially start without a Blizzard Treat, the NEW Summer Blizzard Treat Menu is available at participating locations for a limited time starting April 1. The menu, which features returning flavors and all-new summer flavors, includes:

  • NEW! Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party Blizzard Treat: Chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter topping, and rainbow confetti crunch blended with world-famous DQ soft serve to Blizzard perfection
  • NEW! Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard Treat: Real peaches and cobbler pieces blended with world-famous DQ soft serve to Blizzard perfection
  • NEW! Ultimate Cookie Blizzard Treat: A cookie lover's dream, OREO®, CHIPS AHOY!® and NUTTER BUTTER® blended with world-famous DQ soft serve to Blizzard perfection
  • IT’S BACK! Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard Treat: Frosted Animal Cookie pieces and Pink Confetti Icing blended with world-famous DQ soft serve to Blizzard perfection
  • IT’S BACK! Brownie Batter Blizzard Treat: Brownie batter and chocolatey brownie dough pieces blended with world-famous DQ soft serve to Blizzard perfection
