Zaxby's brings more of its Zax Sauce to Irmo, South Carolina

April 02, 2024 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Zaxby's® is opening its newest location in Irmo, South Carolina at 1325 Dutch Fork Rd. The new Zaxby's, owned and operated by Ballentine Foods, Inc., will be open for both drive-thru and dine-in beginning on Monday, April 1.

“We are excited about our new location and are eager to serve the Ballentine area with great food and customer service,” said Mark Foster, owner of Ballentine Foods Inc. “We look forward to serving the community by providing fantastic employment opportunities and beyond that, by partnering with local schools in the area.”

The new restaurant can accommodate up to 56 guests inside its dining room and features Zaxby’s classic white farmhouse exterior design. The restaurant is equipped with a large drive-through canopy to streamline the outside ordering process and provide fast, top-tier to-go service with fresh, hot food every time.

Zaxby's serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz™ and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu also features Zaxby’s famous Signature Sandwich, its wildly popular Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries and the brand's fan-favorite Fried Pickles. Most recently, Zaxby’s added Southern Fried Shrimp* as its latest limited time offer (LTO) to its menu. After 30+ years of perfecting chicken, featuring seafood on its menu is a first for the Georgia-based brand. Zaxby’s Southern Fried Shrimp comes as a meal or as a standalone side paired with Zaxtail Sauce, Zaxby’s newest delicious addition to its acclaimed “saucefolio” of 12 signature sauces.

To promote the new LTO, Zaxby’s is offering a FREE side of four Southern Fried Shrimp with $5 purchase from Monday, April 1 until April 7. Guests can redeem the offer by ordering through the Zax Rewardz account online, in-app, or by scanning the QR code in-store.**

Owner and experienced licensee Foster contracted South Carolina-based Mimms Contracting for building the restaurant. The location brings approximately 40-50 new employment opportunities to the Irmo community.
