School of Rock West Houston Expands From Pearland With Second Location Grand Opening

April 24, 2024 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON - School of Rock is celebrating the opening of its school in West Houston, TX.

Trevor Luthy, along with his family and friends, are the driving force behind the new West Houston School of Rock. Luthy, a lifelong musician who’s played everything from original music to cover bands, is no stranger to the buzz of live performances. His deep connection to the Houston area, combined with his passion for music, made opening another School of Rock location in Texas an easy decision. After the success of their first school in Pearland, Trevor and his team knew West Houston was the right community for their next chapter.

“As a full-time musician seeking a spark in my career, I found that I gained much more than I anticipated through School of Rock,” said Trevor Luthy, School of Rock franchisee. “It has profoundly impacted my family's lives. From my role as an instructor to Music Director and then becoming part owner and General Manager of multiple locations - this journey has been incredibly rewarding. Now, seeing my two kids thrive in the program, I can truly say I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages with an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

"Houston thrives as a vibrant, multicultural hub with a profound love for both art and music," said Stacey Ryan, COO of School of Rock. "Trevor's personal history with our brand ensures he'll bring a wealth of knowledge and a genuine love for music to his newest endeavor. By fostering community connections and providing students with invaluable musical opportunities, we are excited to see Trevor's impact unfold as he leads his latest franchise."
