Urban Pine Winery Voted “Best Winery” by Toledo City Paper

May 01, 2024 // Franchising.com // Maumee, Ohio - Urban Pine Winery has received recognition in "The 2023 Best of Toledo" awards, hosted by Toledo City Paper. Among 200 categories celebrating local businesses, professions, and institutions, the neighborhood craft winery was named Best Winery. Owned and operated by Jen and Matt McAlear, the winery and restaurant features an extensive wine menu with dozens of New and Old World wines, an expansive food and wine pairing menu, private event capabilities, a wine club and more.

“We’re thrilled and honored to be named the Best of Toledo Winery for the second consecutive year,” said Jen McAlear. “Our journey since we first opened in 2021 has been incredible, and none of this would have been possible without the support from this community believing in us and voting for us! We’d also like to give a shoutout to Toledo City Paper for giving local businesses like ours a platform to shine.”

Urban Pine Winery serves as both an innovative and authentic experience for wine lovers. All wines are produced in-house with classic selections such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as lesser-known grape varietals grown in the further-reaching vineyards of Italy, France, New Zealand, Chile, Armenia and Germany.

Urban Pine Winery is located at 3415 Briarfield Blvd., Maumee, OH, conveniently situated off of Interstate 475 in Maumee. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The micro-winery also offers lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch menus, private event opportunities, custom bottle labeling, a large outdoor patio, a wine club and much more.
